A man is dead after being shot at Miami Hills Apartments in South Bend.

Police were called to the scene shortly after 2 a.m. Thursday morning, according to ABC 57.

Few details have been released about what led to the shooting. The victim was dead when officers arrived with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim was a man in his 20s and three witnesses have spoken with investigators.

The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit has been called to take over the investigation, and say they have no suspects at this time.
