Jayco will add 300 jobs in Middlebury to respond to growing demand for their RVs.

The subsidiary of Thor Motorcoach announced Monday that the Middlebury plant will add two manufacturing plants as well, adding more than 400,000 square feet of production space, according to The Elkhart Truth.

The first, dedicated to Eagle travel trailers and fifth wheels, will be fully operational next month, which will add about 200 jobs.

A new Towables plant is expected to be operational by mid-June.

“The growth Jayco has experienced over the past few years pushed our current production facilities to maximum capacity, so the new buildings will help us not only meet current demand for our products, but give us the space we need to continue to grow,” said Matt Thompson, Jayco’s chief operating officer.

To apply for one of Jayco’s new job openings, visit www.Jayco.com/about/careers or stop by the main office at 903 S. Main St. in Middlebury to fill out an application.
