A long investigation into a store south of downtown South Bend has led to counterfeiting charges.

Hussein Ali was arrested by Mishawaka Police Wednesday following a five-month investigation in 2016, according to ABC 57.

Indiana Excise officers went to the Michigan and Dunmoyer Market three times in 2016, each time purchasing counterfeit Nike merchandise undercover. The items were later verified to be counterfeit by Edward R. Kirby & Associates, who are qualified to authenticate Nike products, according to court documents.
