An Osceola’s man’s lucrative work-from-home business got him arrested in his home this week.

48-year-old Michael Snyder was arrested by Mishawaka and St. Joseph County police, along with his wife and cousin, with more than a pound of marijuana in his home Monday, according to the Elkhart Truth.

Snyder allegedly made five to 35 marijuana transactions a day from his Lincolnway West home in Osceola. Customers would come to his door, buying a quarter ounce of pot at $40 to $50. He told police the stuff “sold itself”, according to court documents.

Also arrested was his wife, 46-year-old Jody Snyder, and his cousin, 31-year-old Carl Ginther, who just happened to pull his car up at the wrong time. He was arrested after asking police what they were doing at Snyder’s house and admitted to selling pot from the house himself, according to the Elkhart Truth.

Police found a compressed brick of marijuana weighing nearly a pound in a second floro bedroom, two glass jars with a total of a quarter pound of marijuana inside, a small marijuana baggie, about $1,000 in cash and paraphernalia.

All three are in St. Joseph County Jail on $7,500 bond. Michael Snyder faces two Level 6 felony charges of maintaining a common nuisance and dealing marijuana. Jody Snyder is just charged with the former, while Ginther is charged with the latter.
