Flu cases doubled in St. Joseph County from last year

The number of local flu cases is nearly double the number from last year at this time.

There were just under 200 cases reported in St. Joe County last year, according to the South Bend Tribune.

This year, the number is more than 380.

At least one local doctor believes the flu vaccine administered this year may not match the types of flu that in the area. With that, they say its more important than ever to practice good hygiene, including frequent hand-washing.
