Elkhart County officers seeking armed robbery suspect

Officers in Elkhart County are looking for a man who robbed a gas station in Cleveland Township.

The robber entered a Bender’s Gas station on C.R. 5 at about 11:10 p.m. Thursday, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.

He showed a handgun, ordered the clerk to open the register, and then swiped an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing.

The suspect is described as a white man in his early 20s, around 6 feet tall with a thin build. He wore a ski mask and gloves during the robbery.
