An Elkhart man on the lam for nearly 10 months is finally in custody.

32-year-old Dean Waugh was wanted for armed robbery at a Key Bank ATM on June 16, 2016, according to the Elkhart Truth.

Court documents say Waugh demanded the victim’s “bag of money” and ripped it out of his hands.

The victim gave chase until Waugh ripped off his mask and said he was “just playing” and it was all a “joke.” Both the victim and his girlfriend knew Waugh for years.

He’s in custody at Elkhart County Correctional Facility.
