Granger business owner still in U.S. despite deportation order

A Granger business owner facing deportation is getting legal help from attorneys across the country.

Eddie’s Steak Shed owner Roberto Beristain is still in the United States, according to the South Bend Tribune.

Chicago attorney Adam Ansari and other attorneys believe Beristain was denied due process when he received his original deportation order in New York back in 2000. Since then, Ansari says Beristain has lost out on legal avenues that could have helped him fix his immigration process.

Beristain was picked up by immigration officials on February 6. It’s unclear when Immigration and Customs Enforcement plans on returning him to Mexico.

“lost out on legal avenues to become a citizen”. Interpretation: Did not do what was required so many years ago that now it is not an option. We are supposed to feel sorry for this person I guess. Our country is a mess and with the liberal courts it will only get worse. We are now the sovereign nation of nothing and the united states of chaos.
