Elkhart pair accused of dealing meth from hotel

Two people are in custody after allegedly selling meth from the Candlewood Suites on the north side of Elkhart.

The first arrest actually took place on March 14, when 37-year-old Ryan Myers was allegedly caught with 435 grams of meth and 100 grams of marijuana at the hotel, according to the Elkhart Truth.

A week later, on March 21, officers arrested the women he was visiting at the hotel, 33-year-old McKayla Laudeman, at her place of employment in Elkhart for dealing meth.

In both instances, Myers and Laudeman were allegedly caught with meth, marijuana, paraphernalia. Myers was also allegedly found possessing handguns while Laudeman had about $2,000 in cash she claimed she was saving up to buy a house with.

Both are in Elkhart County Jail. Myers, who has a “significant drug-related criminal history” according to court documents, has a $500,000 bond while Laudeman has a $100,000 bond.
