Former President Jimmy Carter expected to visit Michiana next year

Michiana is in line for a presidential visit next year.

Former President Jimmy Carter is expected to visit as part of Habitat For Humanity’s Jimmy Carter Work Project, according to WNDU.

Carter and hundreds of volunteers will work to build 20 new homes in five days near the intersection of Jefferson Blvd. and Byrkit Street in Mishawaka, WNDU reported.

At least 500 volunteers from both in and out of the area will do the work, which is set to happen in September of 2018.
