A pair of teenage boys are accused of breaking into school.

South Bend police officers responded to a burglary alarm at Riley High School shortly before midnight Friday.

Officers say two 17-year-old boys were spotted leaving the school. They tried to run, but police caught up to them quickly.

One of the suspects allegedly had a backpack full of vending machine coin boxes filled with an unknown amount of coins. He also allegedly had tools to break into the machines and other related items in his possession.

The two were charged with burglary and resisting law enforcement before being taken to the Juvenile Justice Center.
