Two cousins from South Bend have been accused of armed robbery after arranging to buy a game system on a website in Cleveland Township.

The two are accused of stealing cash, a Sony Playstation video game system, and assorted games from a 20 year-old man on Ash Road during an internet transaction at the Cobus Green mobile home community in January, according to the Elkhart Truth.

The sale was set up on the website LetGo.com, and involved one of the perpetrators allegedly holding a gun to the victim’s head.

22 year-old Charlie Easton was arrested last week by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, and a warrant has been issued for his cousin, Eric Johnson Jr.

The Sheriff’s Department reminds people who arrange for similar transactions online that they should make arrangements to meet in a public place, not a residence. Also make your plans known to to others and take a cell phone. Police stations are happy to serve as a neutral site for these transactions.
