The upcoming Veterans Clinic in Mishawaka has offered a preview of things to come.

Hillary Fliess, the Veteran Administration project manager tells the South Bend Tribune that the project has been in the works since 2015.

5,000 new pieces of equipment will be brought in and 30 different services will be located in the building.

Fliess says construction has been moving quickly and the first part of the facility is likely to open in the fall.

The current facility in South Bend already serves 8,000 veterans, and it’s expected that the new one will serve even more. When Mishawaka’s opens, South Bend’s will close.
