If you’re looking for something tasty to do this weekend, look no further than the Wakarusa Maple Syrup Festival.

It’s open until 8 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m Sunday. There will be a parade, craft demonstrations, a wild animal show, free Sugar Camp Tours at the Wakarusa Historic Museum, a lumberjack skills show and more.

There will also be plenty of activities for the kids, and a Wakarusa’s Got Talent event with prizes on Sunday.

The festival has been celebrated in Wakarusa since 1969, and if you decide to attend, make sure you get the famous pancakes and sausage with that tasty local syrup.
