A man who fled the St. Joseph County Courthouse on the day of his sentencing is still on the loose.

Police are still searching for 38-year-old Michael Jackson, who reportedly removed his GPS monitoring device and fled last Wednesday. Authorities are still searching for him, according to the South Bend Tribune.

Jackson was found guilty of battery resulting in serious bodily injury, rape, and criminal confinement last Wednesday. After he escaped, an arrest warrant was issued for Jackson, along with an added charge of escape.

Officers believe Jackson still poses a danger to the victim in his case and is also a significant flight risk. He’s believed to have ties to Chicago, Indianapolis, and Atlanta.

God speed perp! Maybe you can pay one of your captors a visit and thank him for his disgusting failure to perform his job…the simplest of tasks.
