TV viewers in the greater Chicago and Indianapolis region are getting a taste of the eclectic dining, music and shopping scene in Elkhart County thanks to a new commercial showcasing the different aspects and cultures of the county.

The commercial features footage from Amish Acres, Artisan, Found, Goshen Brewing Co., Ignition Music, the Old Bag Factory and Quilt Gardens and is airing in the wider Chicago and Indianapolis area.

The advertisement invites viewers to enjoy the “urban-rural fusion” of attractions ranging from downtown galleries, shops, restaurants and nightlife in Elkhart and Goshen, scenic outdoor vistas offered by parks and gardens, and the unhurried getaway of Amish Country, rural landscapes and home-cooked comfort foods.

The commercial is just one component of a $300,000 investment which also includes radio and digital advertising, print ads in major magazines and billboards. The campaign was developed through a partnership between the Elkhart County Convention And Visitors Bureau and the Indiana Office of Tourism Development.

Some of the footage captured in Elkhart and Goshen is also being used in the statewide Honest-to-Goodness Indiana campaign.
