Indiana State Police investigating stand-off, shooting in Marshall County

A stand-off involving a man armed with a gun who was threatening suicide and shot himself is being investigated by Indiana State Police.

The 90 minute stand-off between police and the man ended shortly before 12 p.m. on Friday, May 26, after officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and the Plymouth Police Department attempted to intervene with the man.

The man shot himself during a struggle with police.

He was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for treatment.
