Children who are interested in airplanes and flying have the chance to take a free flight at the Elkhart Municipal Airport.

The event, hosted by Young Eagles Elkhart, will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, and is open to children ages 8 – 17.

The flights will be in control of highly experienced and vetted pilots, according to the Young Eagles.

In addition to static displays, fly-by demonstrations & tours of the control tower.

Pre-registration is encouraged, while flights may still be available on the morning of the
