Four juveniles arrested after break-in at Milford home

Four juveniles were taken into custody after they broke into a Milford home, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.

Officers from the Milford Police Department were called to the 300 block of Williams Street on Friday, June 9, on the report of individuals possibly breaking into a home.

As the officer arrived, three suspects took off from the residence, but a juvenile female was taken into custody inside the house, the sheriff’s department reported.

Officers requested the assistance of a K9 officer from Winona Lake Police Department, which arrived and alerted them to a vehicle that had allegedly been driven to the scene by one of the suspects.

During a search of the vehicle, marijuana, paraphernalia, and a large amount of tools were located, the sheriff’s department reported.

During the course of the investigation, a male juvenile suspect returned to the scene and was taken into custody.

Investigators then found some tools that were reported missing after a robbery earlier in the spring, according to the sheriff’s department.

The juveniles were initially charged with possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, fleeing law enforcement, criminal mischief and theft.
