Goshen man wreaks havoc while driving around town Sunday

(Jordan Fouts/Elkhart Truth)

A demolition derby with just one driver apparently happened in Goshen Sunday.

It started on the 700 block of Lincolnway East, where 21-year-old Isaiah Magallanes reportedly started crashing into vehicles at about 1 p.m. Sunday, according to the Elkhart Truth.

Police say Magallanes continued north and west until he got to South 8th Street, where his vehicle ended up plowing into the front porch of a home in the 300 block and stopped. The porch’s roof partially collapsed and detached from the house.

Magallanes reportedly got out of his Chevy Tahoe, tried to get back in, but ended up pinned down by bystanders until police arrived. He was treated for facial cuts at Goshen Hospital and later was released.

Charges and toxicology reports are pending.
