Pregnant Taco Bell employee in Goshen choked over lack of hot sauce packets

A Taco Bell customer reportedly attacked an employee because of a lack of hot sauce packets.

That’s what the Goshen Police Department is telling the Elkhart Truth about an incident at a Taco Bell on Elkhart Road Monday afternoon.

At about 1:30 p.m., the suspect, who officers described as a “large woman in her late 30s”, went into the restaurant and ordered a meal. A 26-year-old pregnant female employee reportedly handed her some hot sauce packets, but the suspect didn’t like how she was being handed them and demanded more.

At this point, police say the customer attacked the employee, shoved her against a wall and started choking her. The employee didn’t seek medical attention and the suspect reportedly left. No suspect information or surveillance photos were available.

Officers are still investigating.
