A good boy was laid to rest last week.

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office said goodbye to Vento, a K-9 officer in the force. The office says Vento bravely served the citizens of the county over the last several years, all the while with the utmost drive and enthusiasm.

In a final farewell, the office said in a statement: “Vento you are officially relieved of your duties with the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office. We bid you farewell, until we meet again.”

Vento died of natural causes.
