Online ordering arrives at Kroger’s Ireland Road store in South Bend

You can shop for your groceries from the comfort of your own recliner…if you’re willing to drive to the far south side of South Bend to pick them up.

Kroger launched ClickList last week at their Ireland Road location. All you have to do is open the Kroger app and place a grocery order. When it tells you the order is ready, you simply drive down to the store, park in one of the designated ClickList spots, and pick it up.

The South Bend Tribune says an Elkhart location could be added to the list of area stores that are participating in the trial run.

There are a few things to keep in mind when using the app. For instance, you’ll have to choose whether Kroger and replace, say a carton of eggs, with a different brand. Also, wait at least four hours before picking up your items, which will actually be delivered to your car at the time you schedule. Also, coupon or digital coupons are accepted.

Martin’s Super Markets launched Groceries to Go in August and it’s available in seven stores so far. Meijer and Wal-Mart also have similar services, but they’re not available in Michiana as of yet.
