Memorial walk, vigil planned for one-year anniversary of Berrien County Courthouse shooting

A memorial walk and candlelight vigil will be held on the one-year anniversary of the Berrien County courthouse shootings.

Ronald Kienzle and Joseph Zangaro were working as bailiffs on July 11th, 2016 when an inmate disarmed an officer and shot the two to death. The inmate, Larry Gordon, was shot and killed by a deputy.

The walk and candlelight vigil to honor their memory will take place Tuesday evening at 8:30 p.m. ET, starting at the Berrien County Courthouse. The walk will end at the Berrien County Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial Monument at Lake Bluff Park.
