South Bend police continue to investigate a Fourth of July shooting that left a man wounded.

A 40-year-old man was shot in the abdomen on the 1200 block of N. O Brien St. The victim reportedly got into an argument with the shooter beforehand. After he was shot, he went to a home on Rex St. to call for help.

The South Bend Police Department believes this shooting may be related to a standoff that happened the same day. Damien Anderson was arrested on unrelated charges.

The case remains under investigation.
