Never one to shy away from a national media appearance, South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg found another national stage Tuesday morning.
CBS This Morning‘s Charlie Rose and Norah O’Donnell may not have been able to say his last name, but they were happy to introduce Buttigieg.
“I guess they call you Mayor Pete because it’s a little hard to pronounce your last name,” O’Donnell joked.
“That’s right,” Buttigieg responded with a grin. “Luckily, elections are multiple choice, so they don’t have to know how to say it as long as they can pick it out of a list.”
Mayor Pete was on the show to talk about the apparent failure by the GOP Senate to pass an Obamacare repeal.
“Well, it means a lot of people who live in South Bend, including people I know who care about, are going to get to keep their health coverage, at least for now.” Buttigieg replied. “I think a lot of people are breathing a sigh of relief. For us, this isn’t about the political points and who’s up and who’s down. This is about people who are sincerely and seriously wondering how they were going to get healthcare if Congress took it away.

Mayor Buttidick, You “care” is misplaced. The vast majority of South Bend citizens are paying extreme costs on Obama Crap Care to insure the few that don’t care to take care of themselves because you politicians do it for them. You all make me and many, many others sick!!!!! Just quit as our mayor and go do you bullshit national thing. At least when your on the national stage no one will notice that you don’t do anything! Did they mention that his city of South Bend is now THE #1 Most Dangerous City in the state of Indiana? Ask him what GOP failures caused that skyrocketing crime rate. That’s quite an accomplishment for his 5 years of mayoring. Nice going Bootygig!
