UPDATE: Benton Harbor officers seek person of interest in Wednesday shooting

A Benton Harbor man was wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon.

The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety says the shooting happened at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of Division Street. A 35-year-old man was treated at Lakeland Hospital for his injuries.

After several leads and interviews, 34-year-old Augusta Sims has emerged as a person of interest in the case.

Update: Benton Harbor police were able to track Sims down and are now looking for a new person of interest, 28-year-old Lineson Powell, who goes by the nickname “Drama”.
