One person has been arrested and a sizable amount of heroin has been taken off the streets in the culmination of an eight month long investigation of a suspected drug house in Benton Harbor.

Police had received several tips of suspected drug activity going on at an apartment in the 500 block of Heck Court.

Thursday, officers armed with a search warrant went into the home located and seized numerous amounts of heroin packaged for delivery and sale, some marijuana, and cash.

Police also arrested Derrious Fields on several outstanding warrants with numerous drug related charges likely to be added on once prosecutors review the case.
