Good Samaritan attacked in Elkhart by man she was trying to help

A Good Samaritan trying to help a man calling for help was both surprised and injured when he attacked her, then took off with her wallet.

 

It happened Wednesday night in the area of East Boulevard and Bridge Street in Elkhart.

Police say the suspect is described as caucasian and tall with a medium build. He was wearing a green-gray shirt. The woman who tried to come to his aid was taken to the hospital for treatment.
