A Warsaw man will be in prison until at least 2050 for killing 2-year-old Adalin Stamper.
A Kosciusko County judge accepted Christopher Grimmett’s guilty but mentally ill plea Thursday morning. The Times-Union reports that it’s a 50 year sentence, with the earliest possible parole in 2050.
Authorities say the Warsaw man beat Adalin Stamper and buried her body in November 2016 behind his brother’s home. An autopsy determined the child died from multiple blunt force injuries.
