We are expecting to learn more about the state’s new Next Level Roads initiative and what it means for the local area on Thursday.

Governor Eric Holcomb will be joined by INDOT leaders and Mayor Pete Buttigieg on Thursday, Oct. 5, at Innovation Park in South Bend for what’s being called a Community Crossings Initiative Announcement.

The Next Level Roads program was unveiled back in July and includes many improvements to Michiana roadways, including $48 million worth of work to be done in St. Joseph County and $45 million worth of improvements slated in Elkhart County, over the next five years.
