Elkhart native promoted to top post in U.S. Swimming National Team

An Elkhart Central grad is taking over the U.S. Swimming National Team.

Lindsay Mintenko is the first female senior executive for USA Swimming’s National Team Division. She was elevated to the position this week during a restructuring of staff.

She’s been a part of the National Team staff since 2006 and takes over for the retiring Frank Busch.

Mintenko says they’re ready to build off recent successes as they plan for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist attended Stanley Clark School in South Bend before graduating from Elkhart Central in 1995.
