A Benton Harbor man was killed in an incident involving a cherry picker on a farm in Silver Creek Township in Cass County.
Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office were called to the property on Dixon Street around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21.
On arrival, they found the victim, Roger Molter, 69, dead at the scene.
Molter was parking a cherry picker in the barn for winter and ended up pinning himself between the equipment and the wall while trying to re-position the machinery into place.
Molter was discovered in the barn by a family member, and emergency medical services were called.
