Firefighters had their hands full Saturday afternoon with a fire at Renegade RV in Bristol.
The fire erupted inside a luxury RV at the facility at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Poor visibility meant firefighters took hours putting out the fire, which could be seen in and around Bristol.
It took five fire departments, 15 trucks, around 30 firefighters, and over 9,000 gallons of water to put the blaze out. No one was hurt and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
“When you’re in a factory like that and you don’t really know the layout and where they put motor coaches and trailers and things, it’s kind of hard if you can’t see your hand in front of your face,” Bristol Fire Chie Nik Kantz told ABC 57. “And it’s smoky and hot, and you’re not sure what’s on the other side of the wall there; it just takes a little bit of time.”
Workers return to work Sunday.
