South Bend man accused of being involved in five armed robberies in three hours

A 19-year-old man has been arrested, suspected in five armed robberies, all within a three-hour time frame.

The robberies happened on the evening on Oct. 18th on Ridgedale Street, Randolph Street, East Fox, Woodside and Rosemary Lane. The victims were robbed of cash, cards and cell phones, even a computer. One of the victims was struck in the face.

During the investigation, police spotted the suspects’ vehicle in a parking lot, got a search warrant and talked to the driver who admitted taking part in at least one of the robberies.

As many as three other possible suspects are believed to have taken part, but have not yet been arrested.
