Walkerton girl recovering from tumor removal gets Make-A-Wish fulfilled

A preschool girl in Walkerton, recovering from a procedure to remove a tumor, received her Make-A-Wish.

Sunday night, 4 year-old Savannah Nowak had the tumor successfully removed last year. In February, Make-A-Wish became involved with the family to make the process easier for them, and after planning for much of the year they unveiled her wish Sunday night.

Savannah had wished for a new playground in her backyard that she could enjoy with her sisters. It was built in a day while the family enjoyed a day in Chicago, in order to keep the surprise. Local builders provided the labor.
