Police in Mishawaka are looking for a woman who left the scene of a hit-and-run Wednesday morning.

It happened at the intersection of Lincolnway East and Bittersweet Road when a white car with a woman and baby inside hit the side of a red vehicle. ABC 57 reports a 12-year-old child in the red vehicle had minor injuries and was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.

However, witnesses say the woman in the white car jumped out of the vehicle, carrying the baby in her arms, and then hopped in a white Ford pickup and sped off.

There’s no description of the suspect.
