Counterfeit $100 bills appear at Warsaw businesses

Counterfeit money is making the rounds in Warsaw.

In fact, the money itself actually tells you it’s phony with messages on the left or right side of the front of the bill. The $100 bills being used have the words “Suvenir of America” on the left side or “FOR MOTION PICTURE USE ONLY” on the right side.

Still, at least one suspect has been able to fool some Warsaw stores into taking the money for purchases. The Warsaw Police Department says one suspect has been identified, but there’s no further information on who the person is or if he or she was arrested.

If you come across counterfeit money this holiday season, contact police.
