South Bend man critically injured in crash on CR 10 in Elkhart County

A 20-year-old South Bend man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash in the 28000 block of County Road 10.

The collision happened just after 10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19.

The driver was traveling west when he went off the road, struck a mailbox, then a tree, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.

The force of the crash caused the car to flip, landing on its roof, the sheriff’s office report stated.

The driver was taken to Memorial Hospital of South Bend with severe head injuries.
