Man killed after crashing into fencing in Berrien County

One person was killed in a crash on M-139 in Berrien County.

Deputies with the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office were called just after 6:45 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19, to M-139 north of Dickenson Road in Royalton Township where they found a Ford Fusion that went off the roadway and drove through a long stretch of fencing.

The male driver was found dead on scene.

The driver did not have a driver’s license on him. Officers were attempting to identify the driver and notify his family as of late Sunday morning.

There was no immediate word on what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
