A third man has been charged with murder in the death of a South Bend man last year.

Presley Jermaine Brown is charged with two murder counts and an attempted armed robbery charge in the death of Tyler Hurtle in Oct. 2016. Court documents say Brown was part of a group that tried to rob Hurtle and a woman at a home on Meadow Lane.

Brown reportedly urged Caleb Smith to set up the robbery, with Sir Jackquarious JaQuan Lloyd also involved. Brown has also reportedly admitted to a fellow inmate that it was both he and Lloyd that pulled the trigger during the robbery attempt, with Smith not shooting anyone.

The trio allegedly targeted marijuana and money from Hurtle and the woman, who was not hurt.

The cases of Lloyd and Smith are still pending, with Lloyd’s trial set for Mar. 5.
