Three teens arrested in Elkhart County after reported armed robbery

Three teenagers are in custody after a reported armed robbery in Elkhart County Thursday morning.

The robbery happened at a home on County Road 9 in Elkhart County.

A 16-year-old boy told police he was approached by a teen asking for money. While distracted, a second teen reportedly approached him, showed a handgun, and demanded the victim empty his pockets. Police say that the suspects left in a dark colored pickup after taking money from the victim.

However, the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department later reported that three juveniles suspected of being involved in the robbery were arrested. Two 16-year-olds were taken to county jail while a 15-year-old juvenile was being held at the juvenile detention center in Elkhart County.
