It didn’t take long for a new tenant to announce plans to move into the location The Mark left vacant in the Eddy Street Commons.

Livery is the new restaurant moving into the spot next to Blaze Pizza near Notre Dame.

Restaurant owner and CEO Mike Cunningham told the South Bend Tribune that he had been looking to expand from Indianapolis into northern Indiana and had been focusing his efforts in Fort Wayne. However, The Mark’s vacancy and Cunningham’s relationship with the developers of Eddy Street Commons meant an opportunity to break into a prime spot in South Bend.

Cunningham’s group, Cunningham Restaurant Group, operates over 20 restaurants in three states with twelve different concepts.

Livery, whose location in Indianapolis has high Yelp reviews, promises to be an upscale Latin American restaurant that will not only be “chef-driven”, but also feature a bar heavy with tequila and brand new decor.
