Released inmate allegedly tosses contraband into Indiana State Prison

A former Indiana State Prison inmate is a current inmate once again.

That’s because 37-year-old Tyron Kennedy allegedly was caught Thursday morning tossing pills, cell phones, and tobacco over the prison fence.

Kennedy had served a 12-year sentence for robbery and was only released three weeks earlier.

He’s facing fresh new charges on all three items and faces up to 18 years in prison if convicted on all three.
