An elderly man and his daughter were found dead in their home in Niles.

Police were called to the 600 block of Woodruff Street on Wednesday evening, Jan. 3.

Officers saw the body of the man down through a window at the home, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

When they got inside the found the body of his daughter, ABC 57 reported.

Investigators say the furnace was not running.

Firefighters tested for carbon monoxide but tests didn’t indicate high levels.

Autopsies are expected to get underway this weekend, or first thing next week.
