One of the three people were injured in a fire in LaPorte County on Thursday morning has died.
The blaze began just before 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4, at the FOP Lodge in the 400 block of Johnson Road in Trail Creek.
A man living above the lodge was injured after he jumped from a second floor window to escape the fire.
A woman was rescued from the building and was taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to WNDU. That person, Vickie Cummings, later died. Cummings was a bartender at the lodge.
A firefighter was also injured while battling the blaze.
