LimeBike to introduce electric bikes this year, but South Bend will have to wait

(Photo supplied/LimeBike)

Your LimeBike ride might be supercharged next summer.

The company behind the bikes is introducing the Lime-E, an electrical version, with a top speed of 15 miles per hour.

The new version of the lime-green bikes will cost a dollar to unlock and a dollar for every ten minutes you ride, and will premiere on the west coast before they make their way here.

At the earliest, they would be added to South Bend’s fleet in the summer.
