Three arrested on marijuana, gun charges in Marshall County

Three Indianapolis men have been arrested on gun and marijuana charges in Marshall County.

Indiana State Police pulled over a silver Chevy Tuesday that was headed southbound on U.S. 31 near 13th Road between Plymouth and Argos. An officer speaking to the driver, 26-year-old Deonta Larkins, reportedly smelled marijuana and searched the vehicle.

Troopers say they found 35 individual plastic containers containing suspected marijuana that weighed about 122 grams. A loaded handgun and over $1,900 in cash were found.

Larkins was arrested, along with 21-year-old Donnell Hughly Jr. and 26-year-old Dillon Lyons All three face preliminary charges of Maintaining A Common Nuisance, a Level 6 Felony; Dealing Marijuana, a Level 6 Felony; and Possession Of A Handgun Without A Permit, an A-level Misdemeanor. Larkins is also charged with driving with a suspended license, which is also an A-level Misdemeanor.
