Snow snubs South Bend Cubs exhibition game with Notre Dame

(Tom Franklin/95.3 MNC)

Snow in April led to the South Bend Cubs cancelling a charity baseball game with Notre Dame.

The game would have taken place Wednesday night and would have benefited the Perley scholarship and the Kroc Center.

Instead, if you bought tickets for the game, you can exchange them at the South Bend Cubs Box Office for a voucher to a future regular season game.

The Cubs open the season on the road at West Michigan Thursday and Friday, then have their home opener Saturday at 7:05 p.m. against West Michigan.

Saturday’s game will feature Muffet McGraw throwing the first pitch, along with magnet and pint glass giveaways for the first 1,000 fans through the gate. A 50-inch flat screen TV will also be given away after every inning.
