LaPorte family dog beaten to death during break-in

LaPorte city police say a would-be robber beat a puppy to death during a break-in.

The homeowner told police that, last Tuesday, she came home to find some things out of place. Nothing was taken, but she couldn’t find her dog.

WSBT reports the family thought the dog was lost, but her son found the dog dead in the corner of his room days later. Another dog, a chihuahua, was injured.

Now the family, along with LaPorte police, are asking for help finding the would-be robber. There’s no suspect description available.
